Enjoy the First Friday Art Walk, which is designed to focus attention on the arts in Old Forge (specifically along Main Street). Also the annual Craft Show will be held on Saturday and Sunday at the Hiltebrant Recreation Center Pavilion.
In Clinton, the annual Art Rocks installation will transform the village of Clinton into a celebration of a “Summer of Color.” The 34 handcrafted Adirondack rocking chairs are available for purchase. Bids will be accepted throughout the summer, concluding with a live auction Aug. 31. Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the Clinton Chamber of Commerce and the Kirkland Art Center.
Considering hitting the beach? Sylvan Beach is becoming famous for its “colossal” Fourth of July fireworks display over Oneida Lake and Pfohl’s Beach House will most likely be packed.
For the entire weekend they have free entertainment lined up to rock your Fourth of July.
Oh yeah, Pfohl’s deck is a great place to watch that firework’s display at dusk Monday. Bring a camera.
Have a fun, safe holiday work escape weekend and take Lite 98.7 along for summertime music and some patriotic favorites as well.
