The Many Loves of ‘Dobie Gillis’ [VIDEO]

This one is a classic. It reminds me of my high school days of pursuing popular girls I stood no chance of getting. The show revolved around teenager Dobie Gillis played by Dwayne Hickman, who aspired to have popularity, money, and the attention of beautiful and unattainable girls while in high school and college.

He didn't have the qualities needed to accomplish his goals and then the tiny crises surrounding Dobie's lack of success made it into the story each week. Funny TV like this show seems to really have gone in the toilet over the years. Where are the Dobie Gillis, Donna Reed, Father Knows Best, Leave It To Beaver type shows anymore?
