The Only Flatware Still Made in America is Made in Sherrill

Too many products that we buy and use everyday have the words "Made in China" on them. If it's not China, it's another country where goods can be made at a cheap cost. One product everyone uses everyday is the fork, knife, and spoon. The only company in America that still manufactures flatware is right here in Central New York.

Liberty Tabletop at Sherrill Manufacturing is a family owned and operated business co-owned by Greg Owens and Matt Roberts. According to their website,

All of our items are produced using the finest quality 18-10 nickel/chrome stainless steel. This offers incredible luster and enhanced resistance to staining over less expensive stainless grades like 18-0. What’s more, the steel that our flatware is produced with is also  made in the U.S.A. and meets all ASTM standards. Our steel is tested for lead and other toxic trace elements to ensure they are not present.  This protects the health and safety of our customers and our workforce.  No mystery metal in our product!

Not only do they produce quality products, but they supply the Central New York region with manufacturing jobs. It's always important to recognize local businesses that produce goods that get shipped all over America. We also have Remington Arms in Ilion, NY and Red Rose and Salada tea made in Little Falls, NY. Let's hope more manufacturers continue to move here to the Utica-Rome area. One big one coming soon is the business moving into the NANO Utica sights. With more jobs comes more people. With more people comes a better economy. That's a positive for everyone!
