The Price For Amazon Prime Is Going Up By $20 This Month

The rumors in January that Amazon was going to increase the cost of their Prime subscription were true.    Amazon is indeed raising the price for an Amazon Prime subscription by $20 this month.

Beginning March 20th, the cost for Amazon Prime increases to $99.  Currently, it's $79.  Starting on April 17th, existing Prime members will pay the new $99 rate when renewing their Prime subscription.

The cost for student Prime is also increasing to $49.

I signed up for a free three month trial of Amazon Prime a few months ago.  Looks like I better sign up for Prime before March 20th so I can keep that extra $20 for another year.
