Little ghosts, goblins and witches can have some fun with fitness during the second  annual Boolermaker Kid's Run on Saturday October 25th at the Masonic Care Community in Utica.

I took my kids to last year's Boolermaker and they really enjoyed everything about it. Some kids ran in costume and others didn't but everybody had fun in this non-competitive run.

The run is open to kids ages four through twelve and the distances range from a quarter mile to one full mile. The first run begins at 10am.

The Boolermaker Expo opens at 8am on the Masonic Care Community Campus and features seasonal activities and encourages healthy habits.

After the race, participants will get a Boolermaker bag filled with treats. Oh, and toothpaste and dental floss too. The post race area is extremely secure. I must've had my ID tag checked a dozen times by security officials.

There is no run day registration. Registration will take place from 5pm until 8pm on Saturday October 18th at Sangertown Square in Center Court. Also, on Saturday October 18th from 10am until 5pm in Center Court at Sangertown Square.

Registration is $5 and there are family rates too.

The Boolermaker-Where getting fit isn't scary. Sign up the kids for some spooky fun before Halloween and all that candy.
