The Ten Best Celebrity Tippers

Earlier this week I had some fun telling you about those tightwad celebrities who are famous for being awful tippers.  Now let’s see the celebrities who known for being the best tippers, according to Zimbio.

These ten celebrities aren’t afraid to share their wealth, which makes them that more likeable, right?  And you can be sure they get great service too.

1.  Actor Johnny Depp

He may choose  some quirky movie roles but Depp has a heart of gold when it’s time to tip.  According to Zimbio, he once left a $4000 tip on a $4400 tab at a Chicago steakhouse.  Wow, that’s beyond cool!

2.  Soccer Star David Beckham

Beckham is a wait server’s dream.  In addition to being easy on the eyes, he’s an extremely generous tipper.  While out with some friends at a bar in California, he left the waitress a $900 tip on a $100 tab.  David, you’re my kind of guy!

3.  Actor Charlie Sheen

No one can argue that Sheen has done some really wacky things and gets plenty of bad press.  However, he deserves kudos when it comes to tipping.  When his daughter Cassandra celebrated her sweet sixteen, he slipped $200 to everyone who worked at the party.

 4. Wrestler  Hulk Hogan

Beneath those big muscles is a generous tipper.  The Hulk left an $80 tip on a $120 receipt and then stayed to sign autographs and take pictures with the staff at a Florida restaurant.  Now that’ll make anybody a fan of Hogan.

5.  Comedian and The Price Is Right Host Drew Carey

Carey has the right price in mind when he leaves a tip.  After enjoying a meal at  Arnie Morton steakhouse in  LA, he left a $400 tip on a $250 tab.  No games with Carey, just great tips.

6.  Actor Russell Crowe

He’s gotten some bad publicity for having a temper(remember the phone incident?), but Crowe gets rave reviews from those who wait on him.  Crowe leaves big tips and sometimes will even entertain other patrons by singing and playing the guitar.  He did that will on vacation in South Wales, when he left an $800 tip at the bar.  Nicely done, mate.

7.  Actress Drew Barrymore

Finally, a woman makes the list.  Barrymore has been famous since she was a child and yet fame and fortune hasn’t turned  her into a cheap tipper.  She’s been known to tip one hundred percent.   Now that’s the kind of math we all can appreciate!

 8.  Actor Bill Murray

He’s hilarious in ‘Groundhog Day’ and who can forget him in ‘Caddyshack?’  Laughter aside, Murray is one of the biggest tippers in Hollywood.  He’s left more than one hundred percent for a tip and sometimes even helps the staff do their job.  What a guy.

9. President Barack Obama

While running for President, he bought a beer at a North Carolina bar.  The beer cost $2 and Obama paid with a twenty and told the bartender to keep the change.  Money…the best kind of change!

10.  Actor Dan Aykroyd

Funnyman Aykroyd generally tips either $100 or 50% of the bill, whichever is larger.  Who you gonna call for a tip?  Dan Akroyd, of course.
