Lots of people like to shop in NYC and that just so happens to be the place that has six of the most expensive stores in America.  The list, compiled by Bundle, looked at the average receipt for each store.

Shop at one of these stores and you'll be spending a minimum of $1800 each time you walk in the door.   Got your credit card ready? 

#1.  Oscar de la Renta in New York City.  Customers spend an average of $3217.

#2.  Giorgio Armani in New York City.  Customers spend an average of $2881.

#3.  Loro Piana in Boston.  Customers spend an average of $2818.

#4.  Akris in New York City.  Customers spend an average of $2649.

#5.  Maxfield in LA.  Customers spend an average of $2258.

#6.  Chanel in New York City.  Customers spend an average of 42115.

#7.  Bruno Cucinelli in New York City.  Customers spend an average of $2032.

#8.  Blake in Chicago.  Customers spend an average of $2008.

#9.  Savannah in Santa Monica.  Customers spend an average of $1970.

#10.  Alexander McQueen in New York City.  Customers spend an average of $1847.

The one thing that suprised me was the lack of stores in Beverly Hills, CA.  I thought for sure they'd have two or three stores in the top ten.  What's going on with all those superstars and their money?
