The Weeknd's brand new My Dear Melancholy EPwhich dropped very early Friday (March 30), is directly addressing his breakup with Selena Gomez, fans have deduced.

The Weeknd, who dated Gomez through the bulk of 2017, has evidently addressed his relationship on the track "Call Out My Name," which includes the lyrics "I said I didn’t feel nothing baby, but I lied / I almost cut a piece of myself for your life."

Fans and followers have insisted the sentiment is a direct reference to Gomez's lifesaving kidney transplant, and how The Weeknd was a possible candidate for donation (Gomez's BFF Francia Raisa was ultimately the donor).

"Something that I’m really proud of is that there’s such a true friendship [between me and The Weeknd],” she said. I truly have never experienced anything like that in my life. We ended it as best friends, and it was genuinely about encouraging and caring [for each other], and that was pretty remarkable for me.”

Check out the full My Dear Melancholy — which includes production from Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, Gesaffelstein, Mike WiLL Made-It, Skrillex, and Frank Dukes — and the track list below. A physical version of the EP will be released on April 13.
