This is a situation that will never happen to me as I'm am waiting every afternoon between 3:10 & 3:20 at my son Dylan's school bus drop off point.  This is the policy of General Herkimer Elementary. Parents of kindergarten students are required to be at the bus stop and I am in favor of this policy. Perhaps this should also be policy in Grand Rapids Michigan.

Jasmaine Owens' 5 year old son was not injured and is home safe, but not after police and neighbors had to get involved. He was dropped off at the wrong spot and walked for blocks before getting assistance.

The Grand Rapids School district has suspended the driver and he may be discharged. Should he? Should parents be required to be present at the boarding and un-boarding of the kindergarten age children? Please comment, thank you.
