Thousand Islands Dressing History Featured on ‘CBS Sunday Morning’

An Upstate New York tradition was a featured story on last weekend’s edition of ‘CBS Sunday Morning.’  What is the story behind Thousand Islands dressing and why is the name associated with the St. Lawrence River region?

Was the mayonnaise-ketchup-relish dressing created at Boldt Castle, Thousand Islands Inn of Clayton or a hotel in Chicago?  The true history of the dressing remains a mystery.

Check out the video below from CBS 7 in Watertown as they go behind the scenes of the ‘CBS Sunday Morning’ shoot.
