Three Arrested In Connection With Floyd Bombing

Three people have been arrested in connection with an explosive device that critically injured a state corrections officer in the Town of Floyd last month.

58-year Keith Seppi, 56-year old Cindy Shields and 61-year old Donna Seppi of Conneaut, Ohio are all charged with assault.

Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol says the attack was not related to 53-year old Alan Dobransky's job as a corrections officer.  Maciol says the investigation revealed that Keith Seppi's sister-in-law, Cindy Shields, was the caretaker for Dobransky's elderly mother, who lives in Ohio.

He says over a four-year period, Shields allegedly stole money from Dobransky's mother.  Maciol says Dobransky confronted Shields over the stolen money and planned to make a report to law enforcement in Ohio.

Authorities say Keith Seppi allegedly put the package outside of Dobransky's home.

Oneida County District Attorney say additional charges may be filed along with the assault charges.  McNamara also says his office will meet with the U.S. Attorney's Office to decide if the case will be prosecuted federally, locally or both.

Dobransky, remains in critical condition at a Syracuse hospital.

Sheriff Maciol thanked all the law enforcement agencies for their work on the case, including State Police, the FBI, ATF, Utica Police, the Oneida County District Attorney's Office, the U.S. Attorney's Office and the Conneaut Police Department.
