"Save Tonight" is considered the signature song of Eagle-Eye Cherry. "Save Tonight" was the lead single from his 1997 debut album, Desireless. It is the album's opening track and gained huge radio success, reaching #3 in Ireland, #5 in the US, #6 in the UK, and #2 in Cherry's native Sweden.

This is a simple song expressing the values of the night, relationships and ultimately life. The singer is going to go away the next day and he wants to cherish this one last night spent with his love. He explains that you can't fight changes, all you can do is accept them.
