Highways to Shut Down Around Buffalo for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Filming

Buffalo will be one of the primary filming locations for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. But the influx of cash that will come with the Queen City hosting the film crew won't come without some inconvenience to the city's drivers.

Although many are excited about the opportunity, the opening of Buffalo to film crews will slow down traffic in the City of Buffalo.

The Kensington Expressway will be closed between rush hours from 7 p.m. through 6 a.m., forcing Route 33 east traffic to halt from downtown Buffalo to Route 198 over a span of days. Crews will require the closure over a 13 day span from May 4 through May 17.

The Kensington, which is NY Route 33, is the main route into and out of downtown Buffalo from the Airport and Thruway.
