"This is the remix," Nicki Minaj announces. "Carly!"

And so begins the 'American Idol' judge and Young Money queen's remix of Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Tonight I'm Getting Over You,' in which Minaj gives the one-time 'Canadian Idol' runner up advice on just how to move past that jerk who broke her heart.

The song is essentially the same as the original, but with a hot 30-second verse from the Harajuku Barbie -- who combines a fiery delivery with a decidedly cool, calm and collected message. She combines her "-er" enunciation from her 'Beauty and a Beat' verse (think "Selener") with advice on how to get over a guy: "Tonight I'm getting over / meditate and do my yog-er / Flip to the club in my Rover / A Celine bag on my shoulder / I got that revolver / That's that nostalg-er."

Minaj closes the track alongside Jepsen's chorus, yelling, "I see you, Carly!"

The song seems to live up to Scooter Braun's hype -- no small feat, seeing as the Schoolboy Records svengali loves pumping his charges. "When Carly Rae and Nicki get together, they make songs about getting over guys," he said. "Whenever girls do songs about getting over men, they seem to do really well."
