August 22, 2011 8:52 AM The New Tony Bennett CD is loaded with celebrity appearences including the late Amy Winehouse. Once again Tony sings his biggest hits with some of today’s biggest stars. The CD drops (hits the stores) September 2oth. Would you like to hear a bit of his duet with Amy?
And it appears plans for the ‘Amy Winehouse Foundation’ have reportedly been delayed. According to RadarOnline.com, the name has already been registered. Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, planned to set-up a charity in memory of Amy Winehouse but has to postpone establishing the organization because there was an issue with registration.
Her father said, “Somebody else pinched it off of us before we could get it registered. All these donations which are coming in – we don’t know what to do with them at the moment. We’ll have to hold off for the time being. The plan is to help all children – not just rehabilitation, not just substance abuse. It’s to help all children in need.”
Because of this naming issue, Amy’s father is being forced to return all the money they have already collected. I hope the donations do get to where they’re needed, in Amy’s memory.
