The Top 10 Most Viewed Lite 98.7 YouTube Videos of 2017
We shot a LOT of videos in 2017. Out of the nearly 200 videos we've posted this year, we found the top 10 most popular ones for you to enjoy.
From our weekly series like "Firefighter Friday," "Beth & Dave's Best," and "The Zoo's News," to Reviews (like a new wine created for "Wine in the Wilderness") and testing out myths ("Do Walmart Ice Cream Sandwiches Really NOT Melt in the Sun"), we've covered a variety of topics and ideas in all the videos we've shot. And like we said, we shot a LOT of videos in 2017 - 179 videos to be exact. That's like almost one every two days! With all those videos, it's obvious we covered some pretty popular topics (and even some not-so-great ones). These are the most viewed videos on our YouTube channel that we shot this year...

Jim Scoones, the Second Assistant Chief at the Clinton Fire Department, was kind enough to show us around their facility and let us get an up-close look at all their fire trucks and emergency vehicles.
Winter Storm Stella was a crazy snowstorm, that's for sure. Even when the storm started hitting the Central New York area, we didn't know how bad it was actually going to be. We didn't know we were going to be buried under several feet of snow. As a fun way to measure all the snow falling, Naomi Lynn set out a lawn chair in the morning and continued to check on it throughout the day.
Summer is the time for quick and easy hairstyles that will keep you cool, but will look cute, too. Naomi Lynn is first to admit she is NOT good at doing her hair. "Just brush it and go" is her motto. But when she learned how to do a beautiful summer up-do, and even she could handle it?! Well, she just wanted to show everyone how easy it was.
This is just one of the many "Lovin' Moments" stories that came from Winter Storm Stella. All over Central New York, residents were going out of their way to help out their neighbors, their friends, even strangers who were stranded by the storm. That's this story, a plow driver in Richfield Springs spent his day clearing the snow for his neighbors.
As new businesses and organizations move to Central New York, a lot of older buildings get forgotten about. It happens all over the United States, but we can see it clearly in our own backyard. In this segment of "Abandoned CNY" we look at some of the forgotten about or run down places in Rome.
23-year-old Dawayne Kirkland of Central New York wanted to improve his job-searching game by creating something very unique. Instead of the typical cover letter, resume, and references, he created a "rap-plication" highlighting his skills, and the video went viral. Check out the interview he did with Beth and Dave below:
We can all point out the Gold Dome building in Utica and the AUD, but what about some of these "hidden" features? Do you know about the historic marker right on Oriskany Street? What about the giant key on the corner of Oriskany Street and Genesee Street? Maybe you've seen it, but have you looked at it closely? See a handful of other overlooked features you can find in Utica:
CJ from afternoons on Lite 98.7 has taken a few Nissans for test drives over the year, and this time we all get to ride along. We get an up-close look at the 2017 Nissan Rogue - Midnight Edition, and it is impressive. Joe from Carbone Nissan told CJ about some of the special features in this 2017 vehicle, including a lot of the new safety features, and the easy connectivity for all your devices.
It's attack of the stupid trends, and "Beachtail" jewelry is definitely at the top of that list. Back in August, the "Beachtail" conversation was everywhere, and it was ridiculous. And in case you didn't hear about it, it's jewelry that dangles from your bikini bottoms... Yeah. We're at a loss of words for this one, but Beth from the Morning Show isn't...
Ah, the fidget spinner, another big trend of 2017, luckily a little more "appropriate" compared to the "beachtail" jewelry. This was the most watched video from Lite 98.7 this year, raking in almost 4,000 views in seven months. CJ shows you step-by-step how to create your own fidget spinner, with legos.
