A nutritionist and author in France is suggesting a radical approach to getting kids to lose weight. He wants to give them extra credit at school. Is this right?

Pierre Dukan is urging French presidential candidates to support a bill that would give extra exam points to high school kids who could maintain a body-mass-index between 18 and 25. Overweight students who can drop their BMI to under 25 would get double the extra points.

The idea is to offer incentives to help kids stay thin and healthy and stop the rising trend of childhood obesity.

Is this a good idea or bad? What are your thoughts?
