Traffic Alert: Lights Out at Commercial Drive and Consumers Square

The traffic light is out at the busy entrance to the Consumers Square shopping center on Commercial Drive (Route 5A) in New Hartford.

Police are directing traffic at the intersection where the lights are flashing yellow.  Crews are on the scene but there is no indication of when the intersection will be returning to normal operation.

Police have asked motorists to avoid this portion of Commercial Drive this afternoon as traffic is backing up.
