Traffic Signal Work Continues in North Utica and Whitesboro

If you travel up route 5 through North Utica heading to Herkimer and beyond, you'll have to stop again at the Burger King as the full function traffic light will return. In other traffic light news, in Whitesboro along Route 69, the traffic signal work at the Whitestown Plaza/ Whitesboro Middle School entrance will continue. You'll encounter sporadic, short-term lane closures controlled by flaggers.

There is good news to report as road work season winds down. The South Washington Street Bridge in between Herkimer and the town of German Flatts, opened back up yesterday. Also the Route 8 Bridge over S&W Railroad in New Hartford, is now fully open. Plus the Mill Street Ramp to Route 8 South in New Hartford, is expected to be reopened today or tomorrow.
