Travel Advisory: Utica, New Hartford March 10-14, 2014

Necessary bridge repairs are forcing several road closures and detours.

Beginning Monday, March 10, 2014 at 7:00am and until Friday, March 14, 2014 at 5:00pm drivers on the southbound lanes of NYS Route 5 / 8 / 12 will encounter a lane drop before the Route 5 / 8 / 12 interchange.

The following ramps will also be closed during that time:

• NY 12 South ramp to NY 8 South
• NY 8 North to NY 12 South
• NY 12 South to and from Lomond Place

Signage will be in place advising of all applicable detours but drivers are reminded that the affected areas are work zones.  Fines for violating posted speeds in these zones are doubled.
