This week is National Tourism Week, the week set aside to recognize the importance of travel and tourism to our economy.  Oneida County is part of the 8-county Central New York tourism region.  In 2009, the last year for which data are available, 9.1 million visitors stayed overnight in our hotels and spent 2.2 billion dollars.  Listen to our interview with Oneida County Tourism President, Kelly Blazosky, discuss the economic impact of the tourism industry.  The audio is from our weekly Central New York Travel Show which airs Sunday Mornings at 5:30.
