Trenton Falls, near Barneveld in the town of Trenton, opens up for one weekend only this Saturday and Sunday.  The falls are only open to the public two times each year, one in the spring and again each autumn.  This weekend marks your chance to visit this great natural treasure.

During the mid 1800s Trenton Falls was a major tourist destination.  Today the hotel and resort that used to welcome guests from around the world to Central New York are gone and the land is private property belonging to a hydroelectric company.

Visit Trenton Falls between 9 and 5 Saturday and Sunday.  Coming from Utica or Rome, head through Barneveld, leaving town on Route 28 south.  Follow the signs and you'll come to Trenton Falls road which dead ends at the parking lot for the falls.

See pictures from Eric Meier's autumn visit to Trenton Falls and lots more photos and community information on the All Things Trenton Falls Facebook Page.

If you go this weekend, we'd love to get your review of your experience; comment below.
