Whether you're looking for a new job in your current field or looking to switch careers, some cities are better than others when it comes to finding what you're looking for.

If one of your New Year's resolutions was to find a new job and/or a better one, there's some good news. It looks like unemployment rates are continuing to drop and more and more businesses are growing. There are a few cities though, that have been named some of the worst when it comes to jobs.

WalletHub has done all the research for you when it comes to the best (and worst) cities for work. According to their website,

WalletHub’s analysts compared 150 of the most populated U.S. cities across 23 key indicators of job-market strength. They range from “job opportunities” to “employment growth” to “median annual income.”

According to their findings, two New York cities fell into the bottom 10 spots (and no, New York City wasn't one of them). The two cities named were Rochester, in the 141st place (out of 150), and Buffalo, in the 146th place.

And the city in the 150th spot (aka the worst one for jobs) was Detroit, Michigan. You can look at a further breakdown of WalletHub's findings by visiting their website here.

So if you're looking to move for a new job, you may want to stay away from Rochester and Buffalo. Even New York City was a better place for jobs according to WalletHub.
