Two New York Areas Make the List of the 50 Best Cities for Work

New York is proving once again why it's such a great place to live. A new survey that's been released ranks the top 50 U.S. cities for jobs, and two of those cities happen to be right here in New York!

The survey of the top 50 U.S. cities for jobs was done by Glassdoor, and it included three main factors. According to Fast Company the three factors include:

• Hiring opportunity: Determined by the ratio of active job openings to population data according to the U.S. Office of Management & Budget.
• Cost of living: Determined by the ratio of median annual base salary as reported by local employees over the past year to median metro home value, according to the most recent Zillow Home Value Index for All Homes.
• Job satisfaction: Determined by a minimum of 1,000 company reviews shared by local employees on Glassdoor over the past year.

Two New York cities made the list of the top 50. New York City sits in the 41st spot, and Buffalo came in at 47. The top 5 cities on the list include Raleigh-Durham (North Carolina), Kansas City (Missouri), Oklahoma City (Oklahoma), Austin (Texas), and Seattle (Washington).
