U2, The World’s Biggest Selling Band
Every year, Forbes Magazine releases a list of the 25 biggest-earning musicians. For the second year in a row, U2 has been named the highest-paid band by Forbes.
Acts that have toured consistently throughout the year tend to make the top spots on the list and U2 was no exception. The Irish rockers pulled in $195 million after bringing their 360 tour to a close, with the tour itself banking over $700 million.
Coming in second as Bon Jovi, who made $125 million and Elton John came in third with $100 million after playing a total of 102 shows over the last year. Rounding out the top five are Lady GaGa ($90 million) and Michael Buble ($70m).
