Upstate New York Man Bulldozes His Wife’s House

Picture this:  You pull into your driveway after work one day and your house is missing. This happened!      This story is as pathetically amusing as it sounds. 48 year old James Rhein from Middletown, NY decided that the home he and his wife were sharing was no longer worth the hassle.

On Monday, James decided to rent an excavator (without a permit) and leveled the home to the ground. Both he and his wife were living in the house and it appeared to be in relatively good condition. If demolishing your own house isn't crazy enough, it gets even more looney. Here's why: He never told his wife that he was going to do it. She also happened to be the OWNER of the home.

"He bulldozed all her clothes in there. Washer, dryer, furnace, hot water heater, everything was still in there."

This entire story sounds like the sad back end to a bad knock knock joke, unfortunately it really happened! Mr. Rhein was arrested on criminal mischief charges and later admitted to his wife that he didn't know what he was doing.

Mrs. Rhein is sick over the matter. In fact, she should probably be bed ridden; except for the fact that she has no bed.
