They were set to expire Monday at 7pm, but the National Weather Service has extended the warnings of high winds and blowing snow for Central New York and other areas of the upstate region.  The warning is now set to expire at 4am Tuesday.

Included are Utica, Rome, Oneida, Rome, Boonville and Syracuse.  Several inches to a foot of additional snow could fall in these areas by early Tuesday morning.  Tug Hill has seen 32 inches of snow fall as of now.

"Heavy snow and blowing snow will make travel very difficult and some roads impassable with some white outs," the weather service said in their statement.
