Let's join together and help raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer with the Utica Blue Sox's 'Pink the Park' event coming up on Friday.

A whole group of wonderful organizations have come together for this fantastic event. "Pink the Park" will be an evening of baseball, as the Utica Blue Sox take on the Watertown Rapids at Donovan Stadium (at Murnane Field in Utica). But this event will also honor breast cancer survivors, it will bring awareness to the American Cancer Society, and it will help raise money in the fight against breast cancer. And on top of all this, the Breast Cancer Center at Mohawk Valley Health System is taking part, and helping sponsor the event as well.

The Utica Blue Sox will be sporting special pink jerseys for this event, that you can actually bid on. According to the "Pink the Park" Facebook Event Page, if you win the bid, you'll also get a photo with the player whose jersey you won. There will also be tickets available for your chance to win a riding lawn mower (that's thanks to Clinton Tractor). Money raised from that raffle goes straight to "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer."

Oh! I can't believe we almost forgot... According to the Facebook Event Page, they're offering free admission to all cancer survivors for this game. How amazing is that?!

So why not help out a great cause and help raise money in the fight against breast cancer? Why not cheer on your Utica Blue Sox and enjoy a fun evening of baseball? Sounds like a pretty good way to spend a summer night in Central New York, am I right?!

The game is this Friday (July 13th) at 6pm. You can get more details and the latest information by visiting the Facebook Event Page: Pink the Park with the Utica Blue Sox.

And don't forget to wear your pink - That's half the fun!
