Things are looking up for baby Leah and her cancer battle.

Last month we covered the trials and tribulations facing Utica's Nick and Kara Passalacqua, as they reported the cancer their young daughter Leah is battling. There is positive news.

According to the Love for Leah Facebook page, the littlest Passalacqua's bone marrow appears to be regenerating. The smile on her face in the updated photos above have brightened the days for the family and everyone else following online.

Leah still requires a feeding tube, and is still facing some procedures to gather tissue samples of the tumors affecting her organs, and also needs radioactive injections to locate any other cancerous areas of her body.

But that smile and that spirit look strong. If you'd like more information about helping the Passalacquas with donations for medical costs and/or other expenses associated with Leah's excellent care at Upstate Children's Hospital in Syracuse. Here's a GoFundMe page that's been established.
