Here’s some scary news for your Tuesday: WIBX is reporting that Utica Police say a six-year old girl found a handgun while she was playing in the backyard of her home on the 1600 hundred block of West Street yesterday afternoon.

Police had been called to West Street early Sunday morning where a house party was going on for a report of several shots fired. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the UPD at 223-3584. With the warmer weather here, the Utica Police Department says it has responded to eight shots fired calls since last week.”

Just scary knowing a little girl was able to find a gun so easily.
