We wanted to share a story that aired on WKTV recently. It started when Utica police officer John Lomonico responded to a burglary call at a Lexington Place home and soon found himself in need of assistance.

WKTV reports:

Jack Carter, of Lexington Place, and Stanley Markis, born and raised on Lexington now living in Pennsylvania, were in the right place at the right time last Thursday and a Utica Police officer is convinced he's alive today because of that fortunate timing and the bravery of the two men.

Officer Lomonico found himself in a struggle with an alleged burglar who had a deadly weapon. The good samaritans helped diffuse the situation and prevent anyone from getting seriously hurt.

We salute you gentlemen and we hope this inspires others to help out, if they can.
