Utica Police Mourn Loss of Officer ‘Rock’ – K9 Police Dog Dies
The Utica Police Department reported, via their Facebook page, that retired K9 ‘Rock’ died recently. Rock served along side Sgt. Don Cinque for 7 years before retiring in September of 2011.
During his years of service Rock and Sgt. Cinque are:
credited with the apprehension of dozens of suspects, averaging roughly 120 calls a year, and ending with a total of roughly 840 calls of service in the team’s career together.
