The 35-year-old also faces a charge of attempted robbery in connection with Monday afternoon's incident at Parkway Drugs on Culver Ave in East Utica. He was arraigned on Tuesday morning, police said.

Police are also telling WIBX that Pula allegedly threatened to use a weapon in at least the first two incidents, however he did not brandish a weapon. Authorities are awaiting a search warrant of the vehicle involved in the crash. They says Pula was not carrying a weapon on his person when he was apprehended following the crash.

Also, Utica Police PIO Lt. Bryan Coromato confirmed that the high speed chase did not begin in Utica. He said an outside agency identified the suspect's vehicle and the chase did begin in, or include the Oriskany area before Pula led police back into Utica.
