Judges recently zipped through 43 nominations for the first ever Bagg's Square Awards. Winners will be announced next Tuesday at their annual meeting and will be posted on Facebook right after they're announced! Their are 3 categories in the first ever "Bagg's Square Awards.":

The Bagg's Square Legacy Award

This award will be presented to an individual who has made a marked difference in the district. This person could be a business owner, a Bagg Square innovator, or even the neighborhood's biggest fan!

The Bagg's Square Community Advocate Award

This award will be given to an individual who has contributed to the expansion and positive growth of the historic community. The recipient of this award will be an avid proponent of the districts enlargement and will be known for making a positive difference in Bagg's Square. The winner will also be someone who is passionate about seeing small businesses succeed.

The Bagg's Square Business of the Year

This will be an insanely tough award to pass off to just one business. So many Bagg's Square restaurants and coffee shops have seen remarkable growth over the past couple of years. A few of my favorite restaurants and coffee shops made the list including The Tailor and the Cook, Utica Coffee Roasting Company, and Gerber’s 1933 Tavern.

The winners of the awards will be announced at their annual meeting on February 3rd and the winners names will also be posted on Bagg's Square's Facebook page.

Congratulations to all of this year’s nominees! We're proud of you!
