Utica's St. Patrick's Day Parade that was scheduled for Saturday, March 11th will not be taking place.

A release from Utica Fire Chief Russell Brooks says the parade is being postponed  for reasons of public safety.

It will be rescheduled at a later date. Organizers are aiming for March 18th, but that date isn't confirmed.

Temperatures on Saturday are expected to be in the single digits, with dangerous wind chills.
