Violet is a baby goat who has been nursed back to health thanks to the Catskill Animal Sanctuary in New York.

The Catskill Animal Sanctuary is in Saugerties, in the Hudson Valley area of New York. They're known for helping farm animals that have been abused or neglected or have no other place to go. One of those neglected animals is Violet, a little baby goat that was rejected by her own mother.

Violet was born prematurely, so her mother abandoned her (you know how animals are). Pretty sad, right? Well, thanks to the Catskill Animal Sanctuary, Violet is now doing wonderful. They spent weeks bottle-feeding her and helping her grow into a healthy goat. Now she's running, playing, exploring, and acting like what you would think a normal baby goat would act like.

Check out the video (at the top of this page) from the Huffington Post. The images of Violet are just enough to make your heart melt. And it's great that we have an animal sanctuary not that far away, that can help animals like this.
