If you're a recent college graduate looking for a sweet job this summer (or you're a Central New York mom or dad with a kid who fits that description), the folks at Mars Wrigley have a deal for you: a fully paid, 8-12 week internship as a Confectionery Connoisseur.

In essence, you're a candy taster. And the gig comes with a bonus of one year's free supply of candy. We're talking the good stuff here. Mars Wrigley produces Skittles, Snickers, Twix, Milky Way, M&Ms, Dove, plus other favorites, and also a variety of chewing gum.

You'd be based in Chicago, but traveling to some of the company's manufacturing sites. And you'll have to be willing and able to dig into a lot of social media engagement to creatively push the Mars products.

Mars outlines some of the key characteristics for an ideal candidate:

  • Distinguish all five fruity flavors from the Skittles rainbow in a blind taste-test
  • Demonstrate the will power to write about and photograph candy without eating it before the work is complete
  • Blow bubbles with chewing gum that are greater than 5” in diameter
  • Be a strong entrepreneur and self-starter, preferably someone who isn’t afraid to ring every doorbell in every neighborhood on Halloween

Eating bon-bons all day and blogging, tweeting, and Instagramming about it. Sounds like sheer hell. If you'd like to put Confectionery Connoisseur Intern on your resumé, just go to this page on the company's website to apply.
