It's over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go but will we ever make it back?

Is this the year you've promised yourself you're not going to over indulge at Thanksgiving? Yeah I hear ya...Don't you get tired of feeling like junk after inhaling seven pounds of turkey and three pounds of stuffing? There's a reason they call it stuffing you know.

Be Kind To Yourself

Accept the fact that Thanksgiving is a day to enjoy good food. If you're too strict with yourself you may find yourself overeating like a rebel without a cause. Remember that you're going to burn all those calories off during your heated political debate with Uncle Mel anyway.

Chat It Up

It's not every day you get to listen to Cousin Pete's story about how he wrangled a bear in the Adirondacks or Grampa's rant on how Utica used to be known as "Little Chicago." Look at it this way, the more you're talking or listening the less eating you'll probably be doing.

 Appreciate The Colors

Orange squash, Red Jell-O salad, Green bean casserole, Brown turkey, Pink ham...You get the picture.  It's not every day you get to experience a rainbow of colors on your dinner plate. Instead of just savoring the tastes, savor the sights as well!
