Well Above Average Temps Forecast For CNY

As we know all too well here in Upstate New York, the weather forecast can change quickly.  However, the National Weather Service is predicting a high temperature of 81 degrees for the 18th of October.

The same weather service says the normal average high for that date is 58.  It's rare to see "shorts and t-shirt" weather in the ladder part of October.  If Tuesday does hit 81, will that break a record for that day?  Not according to Intellicast.com.  They report Utica's record high for the date as being 82.

The following day will be cooler under partly sunny skies, but the high is still forecast at 70 degrees.   As the week winds down, our daily high will be much closer to our normal temperature.
