Just when you thought airports were the most miserable place to be during the holiday season, Canadian air carrier WestJet surprised holiday travelers recently on flights between Toronto, Hamilton and Calgary. Before boarding, the passengers spoke with Santa over a video screen and shared with him their Christmas wish. Then some Christmas magic took place while the flight was in air.

In reality, the magic was WestJet employees who took the few hours their passengers were in the air to purchase all the gifts requested. The packages, and tears, started flowing at baggage claim in Calgary.  Watch the amazing reactions.

Think about this on your next flight, when you're handed your complimentary ounce of peanuts.
