Westmoreland Plane Crash Injures Three

Three people were injured, two seriously, in a plane crash in Westmoreland. The plane went down near Lowell and Creaser Roads last night around 7.

Two passenger were badly burned in the crash, according to WKTV. The third person in the plane wasn't seriously injured.

Investigation into the crash will be turned over to the FAA after the Westmoreland fire department, Oneida County Sheriff's and New York State Police were called to the scene of the crash.

Oneida County Sheriff's Undersheriff Robert Swenszkowski tells WKTV, "It appears the plane touched down at a local air strip down the road took back off and then crashed behind us here."
