What Do These Utica School Teachers Do To Prep For Day One? [VIDEO]

The bus garages are checking the tire pressure and filling the gas tanks. Books, supplies and welcome back presentations are being gathered as teachers prepare for day one of the 2014/15 school year in Utica, NY. The floors are waxed and the desks are in order for the bell ringing. But just what specifically do individual teachers do to prepare? I thought I'd visit JFK middle school in Utica and ask a few teachers myself.

Teachers have been coming to their workplaces over the past few weeks to get ready for class and I've always wondered, just what do they do to prepare?

Aside from meetings discussing policy and reviewing the lesson plan, these teachers also, (watch the video), to get ready for class.

As a parent of a first grader, I know what I'm doing when school starts again. I'll be putting in a few more hours at work and enjoying a few more hours of peace and quiet at home.
