What the New York State Fair Paid For Their Musical Acts in 2015
The concert performances at 2015 Great NY State Fair were star studded, and the artists were paid big bucks to come play.
There were so many concerts that I wanted to see at The Great New York State Fair this year. However, I was only able to make it to one show: Buckcherry. Ironically, this is the only band that didn't have their performance fee disclosed. According to Syracuse.com:
Our friend Rick Springfield earned a hefty $52,000 to play at the Fair. Melissa Etheridge banked $95,000 to belt out her hits; "Come to My Window," and "I'm the Only One." Salt N Pepa rolled in $40,000, and "Cool Kids" Echosmith, made $30,000.
Nick Jonas, and Jason Derulo were some of the Fair's higher earning artists; they were both paid $150,000 for their live shows. Nick's set list consisted of 16 songs, and if my math skills serve me correctly, that's $9375.00 per song. Most of Nick's songs are about three and a half minutes long so he earned $2678.57 per minute.
Our hometown hero, and winner of NBC's "The Voice" Sawyer Fredericks was paid $10,000 for his seven song performance and I hear his show was amazing!
