Now we all know not to leave our kids, pets, or drinks in the car when it's super hot or cold out. What other things are you not suppose to leave in your car during the cold temperatures of winter?

1) Laptop/Smartphones

Sometimes you may have a long day at the office. You may think leaving your computer in the car isn't a bad thing....actually it is. Condensation and cold temps can ruin your laptop screen and battery. Try to avoid doing this, and other electronics as well. Cellphones lose battery life, and you can damage the screen.

2) Medicine

Most medicines require a cool, dry place to be left in. According to WMUR, leaving medicine in the car during winter can weaken it.

Insulin can lose its effectiveness due to freezing conditions. Other medications that need to be shaken can be damaged as well. Why? Because temperature can alter healing properties within proteins and hormones making the medicines ineffective."

Always make sure to grab your meds out of the car before heading into the warmth of your home.

3) Guitar

Guitars can be some of the most beautiful musical instruments designed. They come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes. Some musicians might think leaving your guitar in a van or truck is easier than lugging it inside. If you're in a band and you're doing this, you may want to reconsider. Leaving a guitar in the car when its very cold can put strain on the neck and ruin the strings.
