People in Central New York sure love the holidays. There's proof in the town of Marcy. Most of the Business District along River Road has great Happy Holidays banners on all the light poles. Still.

They ARE fantastic, but it IS almost February. So, that led us to the question in the title of this blog, which bears repeating: When do the holidays end in Marcy? Are there plans to take down the banners?

The absolute deadline for removing Christmas or Holiday decorations is a matter of debate, depending on religious beliefs, laziness, and many other factors. Some believe the deadline is the coming of the Epiphany or the Twelfth Night as the clock strikes midnight January 5th.

The Queen of England doesn't remove her decorations until February. And February 2nd is Candlemas, which commemorates the presentation of the baby Jesus at the temple.
