I grew up on a goat farm so I found this extremely amusing, goats at Berkley are going Bezerkley!

The official name of our farm was "Hubbell's Hog Hollow," but that doesn't mean we didn't have other animals on the farm besides pigs. We had horses, cows, emus, rabbits, chickens, cats, dogs, and yes goats! My dad was the one who would wake up at the crack of dawn to milk them. Thankfully he let me sleep in unless I offered to help the night before. When I milked my first goat I learned that it certainly wasn't as easy as it looked. In fact it was downright frustrating! I thought when you squeezed, milk was supposed to come out; Instead I learned that squeezing the wrong way also meant a kick in the face.

Needless to say, I didn't let a foot to my face deter me from learning how to properly milk a goat. After about two months of work, I was a master milkman.  Well, I'm not sure about that, but I certainly did improve! I actually began to enjoy doing it. There was a point in my life when I would get up everyday before school to head out to the barn and milk them. That all changed the first day the temperature at 5:30 am was about 30 below. I let my dad take over after that.

I can't say I enjoyed the taste of goats milk. If the smell didn't kill me, certainly the flavor would. My dad and step mom always tried to outwit us by putting the goats milk in a regular milk carton. It never fooled any of us kids. In fact, I gave up eating cereal after I learned that they didn't plan on buying store bought cows milk anymore.

Recently Berkley lab decided to unleash a goat stampede!

Every summer, Berkley lab hires a local company, “Goats R Us,” to release dozens of goats around the hillside terrain of their 202-acre property so they can use their grazing skills and cut back the grass in an attempt to reduce bush fires.

I wonder if anyone told the guy in the video running around with the stop sign that goats can't read! ( I stole that comment from someone who viewed the video but I thought it was genius!)
