New York is home to several Hall of Fames; and thanks to a $750,000 grant, the National Women's Hall of fame will be attracting visitors from all over the state. Now you can nominate someone who you think should be inducted.

Just how many Hall of Fames does New York State have? Let's see, there's the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, the Boxing Hall of fame in Canastota, the Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta, and the National Distance Running Hall of fame in Utica; but wait there's at least one more important one located here in the Empire State: the National Women's Hall of Fame.

I'll be honest, up until now I'd never heard of this lesser known Hall of Fame. The museum honors great women who have made their mark by making a difference in the lives of others. According to Seneca Daily:

The National Women’s Hall of Fame is the nation’s oldest membership organization dedicated to honoring and celebrating the achievements of distinguished American women. The Hall uses the stories of its Inductees as tools for inspiration, innovation and imagination.

There are currently 260 women in the Hall of Fame located in Seneca Falls. Many of these ladies have influenced culture in a positive way, and have made a difference in the arts, athletics, education, business, humanities, and philanthropy.
One of the fine features of the National Women's Hall of Fame is that any lady is eligible to be inducted. Who do you know that deserves a place in the Hall? Do you know of someone who has earned a place along side of Maya Angelo and Susan B. Anthony?
They are currently accepting nominations until January 31.
