When people ask me, "What did you do on your summer vacation" I'll reply, "went to the fair...all of them!" We even went to the smaller fairs in Boonville and Herkimer. The one I choose as my favorite is in Hamburg NY, The Erie County Fair.

Okay, perhaps I'm bias because Western New York is my hometown, but, there are truly a few things that separate this fair from all the others. You'll find a larger selection of roasted nuts to enjoy, more shopping, a unique selection of thrilling rides and experiences and most importantly...closer parking to the gates.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone from going to our nearby fairs, I'm just suggesting that if you find yourself in Western New York during mid August, make plans to spend a day at the Erie County Fair, you'll love it!
