Will Chaz Be ‘Dancing’ To His Mom’s Music?
September 1, 2011 9:28 AM Dancing With the Stars’ first transgender contestant, Chaz Bono, will be dancing with Lacey Schwimmer on the upcoming season of the show. That couple — and the rest of the season 13 pairings — were announced Wednesday on Good Morning America. Will Chaz be dancing to the music of his mom, Cher?
Chaz was heard on a Los Angeles radio show telling the host, “Don’t count on it” when asked if he’ll dance to music by Cher.
Since Chaz’s participation on the show was confirmed by ABC, angry viewers have stormed the show’s message boards in protest of a transgender person on a family show.
Among the comments;
“Chaz Bono How low can this show sink. Well you have certainly addressed the gay community. Guess this will not be a family show any longer!!!! Lost my family!”
“No way. We have always looked forward to DWTS but this year it will be banned from all televisions in the house. How do I explain Chaz Bono to my 7 year old daughter? Um well she says she’s a he but he looks like a he only he has she parts. Ridiculous. Way to ruin a good family show.”
“having bono on the show shows how far americas morals have dropped. gay is in and now transgendering. whats next? people who have married their animals? or how about dancing with hookers, that would really be popular.”
