I learned a couple of months ago that just because you're confined to a wheelchair, you can still kick some serious tail when it comes to athletic competitions.

I was honored to play in the Sitrin celebrity basketball game a few months ago at Utica College. I learned in a hurry that our competitors were very serious about their game. We got crushed by the Sitrin STARS. I don't remember the final score, but Sitrin's Herman Garic put on quite a show. He dominated on the basketball court, and he's also expected to outshine the other participants at this Sunday's race.

32 individuals registered in the wheelchair division for the 38th Annual Boilermaker road race scheduled to take place this Sunday. According to the Observer Dispatch:

This is the largest field ever for the 15-kilometer race and two others offered verbal commitments, said Boilermaker Wheelchair Division Co-Coordinator Gary Roback.

Many are confident that Garic will take the gold this Sunday. He's only 25 years old, and he's an up a coming, soon to be elite racer. Earlier this year, Garic secured a top 10 finish at the Los Angeles Marathon. He won 1st place at the Miami Marathon back in January.

Good luck Herman!
